Training and Equipping for Missions Teams
Sojourner Home is committed to preparing and equipping teams for both long-term and short-term mission trips. Through comprehensive training, we help individuals and groups develop the cultural understanding, practical skills, and spiritual readiness needed to serve effectively in diverse settings—locally or abroad.
Over the past decade, more than 30,000 people who are refugees from over 70 countries have resettled in Washington State through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program. Recent changes in immigration policy have led to fluctuating numbers of arrivals and increased challenges in securing stable, temporary housing and essential resettlement resources. While many organizations work tirelessly to meet these practical needs, the deeper human and spiritual need remains: genuine community, lasting friendship, and opportunities to encounter the love of Jesus Christ. Now more than ever, neighbors who are in your community from other nations need welcoming relationships and a supportive community to help them rebuild their lives and find a true sense of belonging.
Why?

“ When a foreigner lives with you in your land, don’t take advantage of him. Treat the foreigner the same as a native. Love him like one of your own. Remember that you were once foreigners in Egypt. I am God, your God..”
— Leviticus 19:34 MSG
